Good morning!
Text: Genesis 47-50; Psalm 16
Psalm 16 is a Psalm of trust, written by King David. In verse 3 he writes this:
As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones,
in whom is all my delight.
The word “saints” here refers to the people of God. For David, they are a source of delight. For us, there is something very special about being with our brothers and sisters in Christ. Each and every one has been chosen by God and made alive in Jesus. They each have the Holy Spirit within, and God has given them special gifts. All have the capacity for heavenly love and have been commanded by Jesus to share it, one with another. When we are together, Jesus is there. What sweetness! What delight!
So… how about you and me? May we all be richly blessed as we delight in our church family.
