Good morning!
Text: 2 Chronicles 1-4; Psalm 102
Psalm 102 was written between 2,500 and 3,000 years ago. This Psalm is a prayer of one in great distress who finds his confidence in the sovereign purpose of God – and the fact that God never changes. This is the Word of God, and so it is timeless and will never change, never be superseded. And it is for you and for me. Consider these words:
Let this be recorded for a generation to come,
so that a people yet to be created may praise the Lord:
that he looked down from his holy height;
from heaven the Lord looked at the earth,
to hear the groans of the prisoners,
to set free those who were doomed to die… (Psalm 102:18)
The Lord God speaks to you and to me from ages past to tell us He is a God who saves and that He saves us. And that is Good News.
