Oct and Nov Worship Training: LAST CHANCE! Tuesday Nights | 6:00–7:15 PM | Green Valley Crossing, 75 Railroad St, Putnam, CT 06255 | Open to anyone middle school age and up.  The cost of the course is $50. Missions:

  • Oct 16 at 7pm – Laugh for Life – Fundraiser for Caring Families – RHAM Auditorium, Hebron, Connecticut – $25 Advance Tickets; $45 Date Night Package • 2 Tickets, Advance pricing ends Sunday, October 4. Visit our Events Page for more info.

  • October Nomads Christmas Collection – We are collecting monetary contributions for the Christmas Bags prepared each year for the migrant workers in the camps. Donations designated “Nomads” can go in the offering box. Additional info on our Events Page.

Oct 18 from 2:00 – 3:30 pm – Pumpkin Carving – Eastford Elementary School – FREE event for all ages! Pumpkins, carving supplies, and refreshments provided. Register at https://cceastford.org/special-event/.

Family Music Classes for Birth-3 (with caregiver) and Music for 3+: Moving to Mondays, 10AM for Birth-3 and 10:30AM for 3+. If interested, call/text Sue Leavitt 860-836-0394 to be added to the list. She will contact you when we are in the new building.

Ministry Opportunities

Finance (Bruce Barlow):

  • Let’s continue building our church together! $31,853 still needed as of 10/2/26 for uninsured expenses. On the insured side, members voted at the Congregational Meeting on 8/23/26 to move $90,000 from undesignated funds to the building fund to mitigate our cash flow shortfall while we await receipt of insurance money.
  • To support our church financially: There is an offering box on the round table as you enter the gym on Sundays (there are envelopes to put your name and place cash/check to “CCE”). We also have online giving at https://cceastford.org/give/. “Offerings” support pastors, missions, ministries, and operations. “Rebuild” supports the uninsured needs of rebuilding our church.

Outreach (Allison Gormley):

Firewood Ministry:

  • Interested in helping cut, split, and stack firewood? Contact John Leavitt (860-559-1545 or jwleavitt69@gmail.com) to help on Saturday mornings. This ministry prioritizes delivery to senior citizens, widows, and single parents.
