Good morning!
Text: 1 Kings 4-7; Psalm 78:40-72
Solomon was a remarkable man and king. He inherited peace and safety for the nation, and was gifted by God to rule with great wisdom.
And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding beyond measure, and breadth of mind like the sand on the seashore, so that Solomon’s wisdom surpassed the wisdom of all… (1 Kings 4:29-30)
In this life we rely so much on the brains, brawn, ability and experience we have. And all of it comes from one source – God. All of who we are is from Him – the good and also the not-so-good. Our strength comes from the Lord, but so does our weakness. Think of your strong points, and thank Him. And then think of your shortcomings – and thank Him as well. Remember – when we are weak, then we are strong (2 Corinthians 12:10).
in Him, Mike
