Good morning!
Text: Deuteronomy 20-22, Psalm 46
Psalm 46:10 speaks these words:
“Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!”
I know I am usually way too busy, always on the move. Quiet times and moments are elusive. This Word brings a powerful reminder that we can “be still” – that is – we can rest and not have to act out of fear or anxiety. By His death, and in His resurrection, we know that we are saved. Indeed, Jesus, having laid down His life for us, is lifted up, exalted, to the highest place. He has been given the Name that is above all names. He is Lord, Master and King. Hail Jesus, our Risen Savior.
So, today, slow down, be still, and rest in knowing that He did it all.
