Good morning!

Text:  Revelation 19-20; Isaiah 65

Our read through of the Bible will be over in just one more day.  As we get to the end, we get to the account of the end of all things.  Revelation chapters 19-20 are terrific as they summarize sweeping events that will accompany Jesus’ second coming and the replacement of our fallen world with one that will be fresh and new.  There is much to read and re-read, contemplate and get excited about.  Revelation 19:6 is a great sample:

 Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out,
“Hallelujah!
For the Lord our God
the Almighty reigns.

We do not know when the end will come.   Hollywood portrays the end of the world as awful and scary, as it will be for those who do not know the Lord.   But for the redeemed it will be wonderful, pictured in Revelation 19:7 as a wedding party:

 Let us rejoice and exult
and give him the glory,
for the marriage of the Lamb has come,
and his Bride has made herself ready;
it was granted her to clothe herself
with fine linen, bright and pure

I can’t wait!  I once had a friend who had a sign in his workplace that said, “Perhaps today.”  When people asked him what was up with the sign, he would reply, “Perhaps today my Savior will come.”  Perhaps today!
