Good morning!
Text:  Ezekiel 43-45; Psalm 133-134

I recently was reminded by a speaker of a powerful truth – we seek Jesus not to get something (like safety, peace, provision or even heaven) but because He, Jesus, is the prize.  The Lord, speaking through Ezekiel, says it this way regarding the priests:

This shall be their inheritance: I am their inheritance: and you shall give them no possession in Israel; I am their possession.  (Ezekiel 44:28)

These words are remarkable.  When we think of our inheritance, our first stopping off place is the material – we think of things, money, possessions, land, homes and such.  Next we might think of what immaterial things we have received from those who have gone before us like our character, our education, skills, and values.  But all these are just trifles compared to the wondrous truth that Jesus is our inheritance.  He is is all we need.  Only He satisfies.  He is the greatest prize, the most precious.
