Good morning!
Text: Ezekiel 35-38; Psalm 130-141
Ezekiel 37 brings us a picture of the valley of dry bones, an image of an ancient army long dead.  In Ezekiel’s vision, the Lord tells him to speak to the bones and to:

“Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, Thus says the Lord God: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.” So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived and stood on their feet…” (Ezekiel 37:9-10).

I think of the people in my life whose only response to the Gospel thus far is rejection.  Like dry bones, they are dead to the goodness of God.  I think of the people in my life who once walked with the Lord but have drifted away.   All of us know prodigals, and many of us are heartbroken over them.  What a wonderful hope we have that our great God can make dry bones live!
