Good morning!
Text:  Exodus 21-24; Proverbs 3
Today’s text includes a special treasure, a pair of verses that have been chosen by many to be their “life verses,” guiding them in their walk with the Lord.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

When we live in perfect submission to the Lord, we have his promise to guide and protect our lives.  It begins with trust.  Do I trust Him?  He is trustworthy – always good, never wrong, always faithful, and all knowing.  Or, do I trust myself?  I know that I am foolish, often wrong, given to selfish motives and limited in my thinking and knowledge. To trust the Lord is the right choice.
And then there is the way I live every day.  Do I acknowledge Him in “all my ways”, or do I go for extended periods without even thinking of Him?  To keep Him always in mind is to let Him steer
These two verses are worth memorizing.  I urge you to do so, and to spend time today thinking upon them.  These few words can define a lifetime of blessing.
in Him, Mike
