Good morning!
Text:  1 Corinthians 15-16; Psalm 101
As Paul concludes this first letter to the Church at Corinth, he gets personal, calling out particular people, as in these words:
I rejoice at the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they have made up for your absence, for they refreshed my spirit as well as yours. Give recognition to such people. (1 Corinthians 16:17-18)
We do not know much about these three, but we do know that they “refreshed” the spirits of Paul and of the people.  I think of the people I know who “refresh” my spirit.  They are always upbeat, always point me toward the Lord and His goodness, always remind me that I am loved, and always give more than they take.  This Word prompts me in two ways.  First, to ask myself whether I refresh the spirits of the saints in my life.  And second, to be reminded to give recognition to those around me who do.
