Good morning!
Text:  Matthew 23-25;  Psalm 67

In Matthew 25, Jesus tells the parable of the talents.  In the story, a man goes away and leaves his money (“talents”) in the care of three servants.  Two of them put their master’s money to work.  When he returns, he is pleased with them.  These two hear these words:

‘Well done, good and faithful servant.  You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’ (Matthew 25:21, 23)
The third servant hides his master’s money in the ground.  At the end of a scathing rebuke for such behavior, Jesus concludes with these scary words:
‘And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ (Matthew 25:30)
The Lord has given each of us resources – money, time, talents, relationships and so on. He expects us to out them to work for Him and His kingdom.  And the Lord has promised to come back someday.  How will He find us?  Faithful?  I have to ask myself how I am using what He has given me.  How about you?
