Good morning!
Text: Revelation 19-20; Isaiah 65
Our read through of the Bible will be over in just one more day. As we get to the end, we get to the account of the end of all things. Revelation chapters 19-20 are terrific as they summarize sweeping events that will accompany Jesus’ second coming and the replacement of our fallen world with one fresh and new. As Isaiah comes to a close we also see pictures of the brilliant new eternal age to come:
The wolf and the lamb shall graze together;
the lion shall eat straw like the ox,
and dust shall be the serpent’s food.
They shall not hurt or destroy
in all my holy mountain,”
says the Lord. (Isaiah 65:25)
We do not know when God will make all things new, but we know that He will. I can’t wait! I once had a friend who put up a sign in his workplace that said, “Perhaps today.” When people asked him what was up with the sign, he would reply, “Perhaps today… perhaps today my Savior will come.”
Perhaps today!
