Good morning!
Text: Revelation 1-2; Isaiah 56
Revelation is an amazing book. In it, Jesus allows us to see marvelous and mysterious things about Himself, about His Church and about our future. Jesus appears to John, the author, in a vision (1:12-16) that reflects the one Daniel has (in Daniel 7:9). An important verse follows – Revelation 1:17:

Make no mistake. Jesus is awesome, frightening even. When we see Him face-to-face it will be wondrous, but our good and proper response will be to dive for the ground. He will be so overwhelming, so powerful, so holy and pure that the only place for us will be on our faces. The rest of the verse is incredibly reassuring, as it says,
But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last…
Jesus is scary awesome, but He also loves us and cares for us. Amazing.
in Him, Mike
