Good morning!
Text: Genesis 15-17; Psalm 6
In Genesis 16 we read the story of Hagar, the servant of Abraham and Sarah. She bears a child to Abraham and is cast out. In the desert wilderness, God speaks to her. he brings comfort and promises for the future. In her response, we find these words:
So she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, “You are a God of seeing,” for she said, “Truly here I have seen him who looks after me.” (Genesis 16:13)
Did you know that God sees you, right now? He sees us in all the moments of our lives. I suppose that means we have no privacy, but the news is much, much better than that. Not only does He see, but what’s more, He cares. He is always with us, always paying attention to us. He loves us and is always with us. As Hagar says, He is the God who “looks after me.” Amen.
in Him, Mike
