Good morning!
Text:  Today is a reflection day.
While our time so far in Genesis has been very interesting, we have also been reading in the Psalms.  Psalm 12:6 is worth a pause for reflection:
The words of the Lord are pure words,
like silver refined in a furnace on the ground,
    purified seven times.
We are so very privileged to have the Word of God right in our hands.  The Bible contains the very words of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit.  The words are “pure words,” and are valuable like precious metal.  They are valuable like silver that has been refined, refined and refined again – seven times (the Biblical number for perfection).  These words are in fact unlike any other.  And we have them before us without great cost to us.
For our Lord Jesus, however, there was the greatest cost – His life blood, poured out for us.  If not for our salvation, for a new heart and the Spirit within, we would be blinded to the truth in these words. Thanks to Jesus and the Holy Spirit we indeed have the most precious Word.  Praise God!
in Him,  Mike
