Oct and Nov Worship Training: Tuesday Nights | 6:00–7:15 PM | Green Valley Crossing, 75 Railroad St, Putnam, CT 06255 | Open to anyone middle school age and up.  The cost of the course is $50. Torah Club on Tuesdays from 6 – 8 PM beginning Oct 6 – Year-long small-group Bible study discipleship community discovering the Scriptures from a Messianic Jewish perspective, featuring 49 weekly lessons. Participants receive printed lesson books, weekly video teachings, and access to Club Hub—an online space for ongoing discussion, questions, and connection with the wider Torah Club community. This year’s study is called “The Narrow Path”. Jesus has something to say about every aspect of how we live our lives, interact with our neighbors, conduct business, handle our resources, and serve God. Limit 10 participants. Let’s continue building our church together!  $43,114 still needed as of 9/10/26 for uninsured expenses. On the insured side, members voted at the Congregational Meeting on 8/23/26 to move $90,000 from undesignated funds to the building fund to mitigate our cash flow shortfall while we await receipt of insurance money.

To support our church financially: There is an offering box on the round table as you enter the gym on Sundays (there are envelopes to put your name and place cash/check to “CCE”). We also have online giving at https://cceastford.org/give/. “Offerings” support pastors, missions, ministries, and operations. “Rebuild” supports the uninsured needs of rebuilding our church.

Firewood Ministry: Interested in helping cut, split, and stack firewood? Contact John Leavitt (860-559-1545 or jwleavitt69@gmail.com) to help on Saturday mornings. This ministry prioritizes delivery to senior citizens, widows, and single parents.

Praise Chorus – Do you love to sing and praise the Lord? Sue Leavitt is looking to raise up treble voices (including children who love to sing) to present a song of praise to celebrate our new church. Please contact Sue at 860-836-0394.

We will now be using Planning Center’s “Church Center” app.

  • Download Church Center through Google Play or the App Store and select Congregational Church of Eastford (or scan QR code).
  • Enter your cell phone number. (If you are a member, your name should be there and if it isn’t, that means I didn’t have your cell, so go ahead and create a new account and I will merge your other information. If you’re not a member, you can also use the app and create an account!)
  • Active icons include Home (with links to website, calendar, sermons, and giving), Events, and Directory (for members).
  • At the top, you’ll see a round bubble with your initials. Click on this and at the top, you’ll see “Hello, (your name)!” and this is where you can update your information and settings.

For those who serve in Nursery, Bible Explorers, Band, or Communion:

  • Please set your block-out dates so schedulers don’t choose you on weeks you are away.
  • You will receive emails from schedulers so please accept (or decline if needed) in a timely fashion so we’re adequately staffed each Sunday.
  • Please note that parents will receive emails for student helpers in their household, so watch for the position title in the email.
