Good morning!
Text: Today is a reflection day.
After Pharaoh releases the Israelites and they depart Egypt, they find themselves at the shore of the Red Sea. The Egyptian army appears, and they are cornered, nowhere to go. In response to the fearful complaints of the people, this happens:
And Moses said to the people, “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”
It is often when we have our backs against the wall, at our wit’s end, that the Lord shows Himself most glorious. And, it is when we are at a dead end, trapped and in failure, that we need to trust Him the most. He will fight, and He will win. By the way, it was at this point that the Lord parted the Red Sea.
So, what area of life has you captive this day? What obstacle seems insurmountable right now. Are you trusting the Lord to bring you the victory you seek? “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord…”
in Him, Mike
