Good morning!
Today is a reflection day
Here is one of those gemstones that makes God’s instructions for our life as His children clear, simple and brief. Micah 6:8 says:
He has told you, O man, what is good;
and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God?
Three simple instructions for us all:
- “To do justice” is to measure and choose every step of the walk of our own lives against God’s perfect Law. Said another way, “Follow God’s rules.” So, do I do that?
- “To love kindness” is to see the failings of others through the lens of affection and mercy. Said another way, “Forgive others when they break God’s rules.” So, do I do that?
- “To walk humbly with [our] God” means to know He is Lord and I am not, and to stay close to Him in prayer and in thought. Said another way, “Live a life of prayer and submission to the Lord in everything.” So, do I do that?
Micah 6:8 is worthy of memorization. We have two reflections days right now to do just that.
