I hope you are looking forward to our Thanksgiving holiday. Beyond that day our celebration can continue – 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 calls us to a lifestyle of joy, prayer and gratitude:
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
In fact we are called to a lifestyle of joy, prayer and gratitude. Yesterday we had a time of thanks in our new building. It was festive for many, and we get to rejoice again today, tomorrow and every day. He is always there for us, and we have the privilege of prayer, every day, every hour. And we are to thank Him for everything – the good and the bad. All that we have has come from Him. He is a good God who loves us with immeasurable love. We all have so much to thank the Lord for. We have salvation in Jesus, the breath of life, we live in a safe and beautiful land, we have one another, and so much more. Thanks be to God!
