Today is a reflection day.
It can be so very frustrating when we share our faith with others and they just do not get it. It seems like the world is somehow deaf and blind to what seems like simple truth. There is a reason. In 1 Corinthians 2 we read that unspiritual people – those who have not been touched by the Holy Spirit – are unable to comprehend spiritual truth. But for those who have Jesus and the Holy Spirit, we “get it.” The chapter ends with these remarkable words;
“But we have the mind of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 2:16)
That is an amazing statement. As Christians, we have within us the same mind that is the source of all wisdom, is the designer of the universe, directs the whole of history, and understands the great and unfathomable mysteries. We have the capacity to think like God. Amazing.
