Good morning!

Text:  Ezekiel 43-54; Psalm 133-134
Psalm 133 celebrates the unity of God’s people.  It opens with these words:

Behold, how good and pleasant it is
when brothers dwell in unity! (Psalm 133:1)

It is a good thing indeed.  The Psalm then says it is like anointing oil – the symbol of blessing, and also of healing.  And it is like the “dew of Hermon” – the rain that falls on the high mountain and runs down to water the land so there is bountiful food.  In Ephesians 4:3 we are told to be “eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”  When we work to get unified as believers and stay that way, the promise that closes Psalm 133 is ours:

For there the Lord has commanded the blessing,
life forevermore. (Psalm 133:3)

May we always do what it takes to live in unity with one another.

in Him, Mike
