Today is a reflection day.
Ezekiel 11:19 brings a dramatic promise to God’s people, one that is most profound:
And I will give them one heart, and a new spirit I will put within them. I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh…
When this promise is fulfilled, when our old heart is actually made all new, we experience an “extreme makeover.” Suddenly we are all new. The grip of sin is gone. Our life in the darkness is over. We are free, and we love the light. Once dead, we are now alive. We are born again to eternal life. We receive the Spirit of the Living God. It is like the difference between a statue made of stone and a living, breathing human being.
And this transformation is ours when we come to Jesus. Amazing!
