Good morning!

Text:  2 Chronicles 25-27; Psalm 107
King Jotham of Judah is cited as one of the better kings.  “He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord,”  Jotham was successful in battle.  2 Chronicles 27:6 says this about him:

So Jotham became mighty, because he ordered his ways before the Lord his God.

What does it mean to order one’s ways?  I envision getting up in the morning and sitting down with my calendar.  All the appointments and events are in order – a plan ready to guide and drive my day.  To order my ways before the Lord requires that all of that daily plan is set and measured by the Lord’s standards.  That says that every step of my day should be honoring to the Lord, righteous by His measure, aligned with His will and purposes, faithful to the truth of His Word, and on mission – His mission, not my own. This verse suggests cause and effect.  Jotham was mighty because he lined himself up before the Lord.
Is your way ordered?
in Him, Mike
