Good morning!

Text: 2 Corinthians 10-13; Psalm 115
As Christians, we are in a spiritual battle – as attested in 2 Corinthians 10.  We do not battle in the flesh (the material world), but in the spiritual domain.  Consider these words:

For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ… (2 Cor 10:3-5)

The front line of our warfare is within – in our thought lives.  We are to “take every thought captive…”   The next words are where we stand or fall; “…to obey Christ.”   It is one thing to get our thoughts aligned with Jesus – and another to actually obey what He says.  Think about this – I cannot control your thoughts or actions, but only my own.  The front line of the spiritual battle is within. It is tempting to focus our spiritual warfare on outside influences – the world, Satan, demons and spirits – but the enemy and his strongholds are much, much closer to home.
