Good morning!

Text:  2 Corinthians 7-9; Psalm 114
What do we grieve over?  When I hear that word, “grieve”, I think of the loss of a loved one.  Consider 2 Corinthians 7:10:

For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death.

What is godly grief?  What does the Lord grieve over?  Certainly all the pain, sorrows, tears, sickness and death in the world grieves our Father in Heaven.  But even more, it is the sin that caused all of it in the first place.  And that points to our choices.  What would it look like if we had more grief over our choices and the choices of those around us than over the consequences?  Look back at the verse.  Godly grief – over our sin choices – “produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret.”  Salvation! No regret!  How about that?
