Good morning!
Text:  2 Chronicles 22-24; Psalm 106:24-48
When King Joash was anointed, he was but seven years old.  The priest, Jehoiada, served as regent and mentor to the young king, and Joash lead the people in the ways of God. Apparently, the influence of the godly priest is very strong. But, when Jehoiada dies, things turn:

Now after the death of Jehoiada the princes of Judah came and paid homage to the king. Then the king listened to them.  And they abandoned the house of the Lord, the God of their fathers, and served the Asherim and the idols. And wrath came upon Judah and Jerusalem for this guilt of theirs.  (2 Chronicles 24:17-18)

The message here is simple. Many voices can lead our hearts – friends, family, Christian leaders, media outlets, bloggers (like this one).   We must be mindful of which voices influence us.  To whom do you listen?  Are their voices of God or of the World?  Choose with care.  Silence the ungodly influences in your life.  The stakes are very high.
in Him, Mike
