Good morning!

Text: Romans 12-13; Proverbs 22:1-16
The first eleven chapters of Romans bring a detailed theological explanation of God’s plan of salvation and our Christian faith.  Then, beginning in Chapter 12, the text turns to practical Christian living.  These days it seems like the world around us is spinning rapidly toward chaotic times.  In that light, these words speak clearly:

The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.  (Romans 13:12)

Jesus is coming, and we must be ready.  In the time before He comes, the Scriptures tell us that the craziness, the chaos, the evil and the brutality will escalate.  The broken and troubled world around us needs Jesus, and we, as the Body of Christ, are their only hope.  These words suggest a night that is nearly over – a night that has been filled with evil.  We need to be strong, pure and powerful as the only source of hope and light.  It is time for the church to be ready for the Day – clean, and pure, clothed in heavenly armor.  Even now, the dawn is breaking.  Jesus is coming. Get ready!
