Good morning!
Today is a reflection day.
Looking back over the past week of reading, 2 Samuel 5:24 came into view, the Lord’s words to David in the midst of battle:
“And when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, then rouse yourself, for then the Lord has gone out before you to strike down the army of the Philistines.”
In our everyday lives, we often forget that there is a great and unseen realm all around us. The Lord has His angel armies deployed in advance of our goings out and comings in. We are safe and secure, kept from harm and alarm. Is there anything you are fretting about this day? The Lord said to David, “…when you hear…” Seek the Lord in prayer, and don’t do all the talking. Make space to hear. Listen! There is the sound of marching in the tree tops. Be strong and confident. Rouse yourself and march on.
