OOOPS. Yesterday I posted the Blog for 3/24. So here is the one I woe you for yesterday’s readings…
Good morning!
Text: Deuteronomy 8-10; Psalm 42
Psalm 42 is a sad yet beautiful Psalm of yearning for and dependence upon God. Oh, how our hearts can long for Him, especially when we are troubled. Verse 5 says these words:
Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me?Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,my salvation.
We indeed experience difficult times – times where we are downcast or in inner turmoil. When we know the Lord, relief is always at hand. All we need to do is turn towards Him and place our hope in Him. He loves us so much that He has saved us from sin and death. His love never fails, and whatever besets us this day He can and will again come to our rescue. This is certain, so wehn we put our hope in God, that hope never thin or feeble. It is hope that heals.
in Him, Mike
