Good morning!
Text: 2 Peter; Isaiah 44
The news seems to always be filled with troubles – political disagreements, wars, violence, chaos.  These things are signs that the end of the age is approaching.  Lest we get downcast, we need to remember our hope:

But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. (2 Peter 3:13)

This world is indeed falling apart.  But we will be getting a new one soon.  He has promised this, so we can “take it to the bank.”  And in this new world to come, righteousness will dwell.  That means all will be “right.”  No more sin, no violence, no sickness, no tears, sorrow nor death.  And while we wait for that day, we live for Him and for His Kingdom… living “lives of holiness and godliness.” (2 Peter 3:11).  Sounds like we have a plan for today.
in Him, Mike
