Good morning!
Text: Jeremiah 28-30; Isaiah 20o tell them taht
Jeremiah 29 is rich in quotable verses. Here is one:
“You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13)
When we interpret Bible verses, context is king. Here, Jeremiah has written a letter from Jerusalem to the exiles held captive in Babylon. The Lord is encouraging them to trust Him, to know He has a plan, and that in the future they will turn to Him and find favor. When their hearts are fully given to seeking Him, He will be there for them.
The promise for us is the same – when our hearts are fully given to seeking the Lord, we will indeed find Him. How about us? Are we fully given to seeking the Lord? If you are, you can expect to Him to meet you in today’s prayer time. You can expect His powerful presence to overwhelm you with joy and peace. If not…
in Him, Mike
