10/7/24

Good morning!

Today is a reflection day.
A familiar and oft-quoted verse is found in Jeremiah 29:

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11)

These words were written to a people in captivity (the Jews in Babylon), a reminder that even when things are very bad, God has a plan.  When it comes to the people God loves, His plans are for our blessing. His plans move toward a beautiful future.  And knowing this brings us hope.  Are you in a desolate place this day? Whether you are or not, these words need to be deep in our hearts, that when our season of “captivity” comes, we may have the hope they bring.
in Him, Mike
