Good morning!
Text: Numbers 8-10; Psalm 30
During the wanderings of the Hebrews in the wilderness, they were led by the Lord. He placed a cloud over the tabernacle which appeared as cloud by day and fire by night. When it moved, they moved. When it stayed put, so did they. Consider these words:
Even when the cloud continued over the tabernacle many days, the people of Israel kept the charge of the Lord and did not set out. (Numbers 9:19)
Imagine such a life. Imagine not knowing if today was a day to pack everything up and move to who knows where. I know I would find it very hard to deal with the uncertainty. And yet, we are called to such a life today. We do not know when the Lord may call us to action. We do not know but that today he may call us to pack up and move. And if today we are itching to move on, we ought not make a change unless He goes before us. Everyday we are to fully rely upon the Lord’s leading… whether to stay put or move along.
in Him, Mike
