Text: Hebrews 11-13; Psalm 27
Hebrews 12:14 says these words:
“Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.”
How we relate to other people matters. And so does our conduct before them. Our great God calls us to holy living – set apart for Him and also set apart from sin. It is by our lives and conduct that God reveals Himself to those around us. These words tell us that, if we lack holiness in our everyday living, the people around us will not see the Lord in us. If they do not see the Lord in us in a way to receive His grace through the Gospel, then they will be separated from the Lord forever. How we live matters. So, how is your life these days? Are you striving for peace and for holiness? “They” are watching.
