Good morning!

Text:  John 10-12; Psalm 139
What rich texts we have today!  Psalm 139 speaks of God’s intimate knowledge and care for us – each and every one.  A verse in John that reflects the Psalmist’s voice is John 10:27.  Hear these words of Jesus:

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”

Three powerful truths.
  1. Because we are His sheep, we ought to hear Jesus’ voice. When we pray and when we read the Word of God, the Lord is speaking directly to us.  Do you hear Him?
  2. He knows us.  Jesus knows us all intimately.  He knows our hearts, our thoughts, our strengths and weaknesses.  He commands our destiny.  And, He loves us anyway.  That’s great news!
  3. We follow Him.  If we are indeed His possession, His sheep, then we will be obedient to follow Him. It is a good thing to commit this day and every day to walk closely in His steps.  Perhaps you need to pray and tell Him that right now.
in Him, Mike
