Today is a reflection day.
It is Holy Week and thus a busy one for Christians. We will worship Good Friday and again Easter Sunday. We will pull the stops out for Sunday with a sunrise service followed by our customary hot breakfast featuring bacon, egg and cheese casserole and the best scratch-made cinnamon rolls on the planet. Later in the day, many of us will feast and perhaps enjoy a chocolate bunny. I am reflecting on God’s instructions for the Jewish feasts. Deuteronomy 16:14 says;
“You shall rejoice in your feast…”
When we celebrate our great God and what He has done, we should celebrate. His love, His sacrifice, His resurrection, His victory over sin and death – these are all worthy of feasting, singing, laughing, shouting and generally whooping it up. The Lord commands it. Amen!
in Him, Mike
