Text: Hosea 5-8; Song of Solomon 7
The Song of Solomon is pretty racy. In conservative Jewish culture, unmarried men are not permitted to read it – yet we find it in the Word of God. Consider 7:6:
“How beautiful and pleasant you are, O loved one, with all your delights.”
There are some religious traditions that teach that our physical intimacy in marriage us impure and not okay. Yet God celebrates it here in His Word. Studies show that the happiest, most satisfied lovers are married, monogamous believers. Done His way – in marriage alone – we discover that our Lord has prepared a garden of delight for His children. Praise the Lord!
