Text: Genesis 10-11; Psalm 4
As I read each day, I underline verses that speak to me. Genesis is rich and there is much I would like to address. But, this morning, Psalm 4:8 attracted my pencil:
In peace I will both lie down and sleep;
for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.
These are the closing words of a Psalm of trust written by David. They remind us that, if we truly trust the Lord, we find the peace and security we all long for. In these turbulent times, that is a blessing. And, if you have personal concerns – those matters close to your own heart – it is good to sleep well at night.
This peace of mind and heart which the Lord offers is not just a blessing, but the source of great strength and power. So, do you trust Him this day?
in Him, Mike
