Good morning!
Text: Genesis 6-9; Psalm 3
I only see a handful of rainbows each year.  Every time I do I recall God’s covenant promise in Genesis 9 that He will never again bring a flood to destroy all flesh,  When I read this again this morning, I was reminded of it anew:
“When the bow is in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.”   – Genesis 9:16
This is God speaking here.  It says that He will remember the everlasting covenant every time He sees a rainbow.  You and I may only see rainbows on occasion, but it seems to me there is probably a rainbow somewhere in the world all the time.
No matter how frequently or infrequently I consider my relationship with God and the promises He has made, He is always mindful of His promises.  That is a great comfort, and also a challenge.  How much stronger in the Lord would I be if I always held His promises in full view?
in Him,  Mike
