Good morning!
Text:  Exodus 38-40; Proverbs 8
As we come to the end of Exodus, the tabernacle, a word that means “tent” or “dwelling place”, is erected and fitted out.  Aaron, Moses brother and the official priest, enters the tabernacle, and the manifest presence of God shows up.
Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. (Exodus 40:34)
Can you imagine what that was like for the people to experience the arrival of the Lord?  It must have been amazing.  But, then, it is just as amazing when the Lord arrives in our own lives.
He comes and takes up residence by His Holy Spirit in the same way.  Many who have had an adult conversion tell of His arrival – of sensations and even hearing his voice.  Suddenly, with a new resident in the house of our hearts, everything changes, becomes new.  Truth becomes clear, life begins to have fresh excitement, and old wounds begin to heal.  We are born again. 1 Corinthians 6:19 challenges us:
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God?
For the Israelites, He could be seen.  This gets me wondering – given that I have within me the very presence of the very same Lord – is He visible?  Does the Spirit of God show Himself in and through my life?
in Him,  Mike
