Good morning!
Text:  Jude; Isaiah 47
Jude is very brief, but rich in content.  In verses 20-21, we find a commandment, “keep yourselves in the love of God,” and instructions how to do so:
But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.
To stay close to God, to keep in His love, we must engage in three activities.
  1. Building ourselves up in faith – through the Word of God in our lives and by the cumulative effect of routinely trusting Him with everything of life.
  2. Praying in the Holy Spirit (try praying the great prayers of Scripture and also using the Psalms); and,
  3. Waiting for the mercy of Jesus (it comes every time we sin, confess and repent).
