Text: Joshua 1-3; Psalm 53
As Joshua took the reigns of leadership of Israel and the Lord spoke to him in preparation for entering the promised land, he told Joshua two important things. He told him to be strong and courageous as the Lord would accompany him, and he told him,
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” (Joshua 1:8)
Our daily engagement with the Word of God provides nourishment for our souls. It is food for our day as it brings strength and prospers our lives in Christ. It will bring “good success.” I hope you plan to continue to read and meditate upon the Word daily – for the rest of your life on earth.
in Him, Mike
