Good morning!
Text:  Ezekiel 25-28; Ecclesiastes 5
Ezekiel 28 contains a curious passage about the “King of Tyre.”  It is filled with supernatural references such that many scholars believe that it is a description of Satan rather than some earthly ruler.  It begins in 28:12:

“You were the signet of perfection,
full of wisdom and perfect in beauty…”

And concludes in verse 19:

“…you have come to a dreadful end
and shall be no more forever.”

Satan’s beginnings are grand and wonderful – bright and beautiful among the angels. But, he fell into rebellion. He is a great and powerful adversary. But, make no mistake, He is also a defeated adversary.  Our great God will sweep the devil and his dreadful works away, replacing this broken world with the Kingdom of God.

“…he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” (1 John 4:4).
