Text: 1 Timothy 1; 2 Chronicles 9-10
In the New Testament letters there are several outbursts of praise – interjections of words of God’s goodness and might in response to the truth of Jesus’ love and power in our lives.
“To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.” (1 Timothy 1:17)
Indeed all honor and glory belong to our God. He is everlasting (King of the ages) and immortal. We cannot see Him, but He is real, ever present and wonderful. As Paul writes this letter to his younger protege Timothy, he interrupts himself and offers these words of praise. As we go through our daily routines, such interjections would be a great addition. To occasionally just stop and blurt out “God is amazing, and all the glory goes to Him!” would brighten and refresh our hearts. How about it?
