Good morning!

Text: Job 31-33; Isaiah 6
In Job 32 we meet a new character, Elihu.  He also challenges Job as well as Job’s three friends. Along the way, he speaks of how the man who comes to the Lord in repentance and submission will be restored and be blessed with joy.  The words that grabbed my attention were these:

“Behold, God does all these things,
twice, three times, with a man,
to bring back his soul from the pit,
that he may be lighted with the light of life.  (Job 33:29-30).

Over and over, our gracious God forgives and restores us.  I am so glad He is the God of not only second chances, but thirds (and fourths, fifths, sixths…) too.  Looking back on my life I see only reasons for gratitude for His mercy.  Looking forward, I see the hope of His continued grace.  And, if in this moment I am stuck – apart from blessing and joy – I know all I have to do is repent and submit to the Lord.  May His grace, peace and joy abound to you all.
in Him, Mike
