Good morning!
Text:  1 Corinthians 15-16; Psalm 101
I have been involved in men’s ministry for many years.  Just for today’s devotional, I want to address the men (ladies, please read this… and pray for the men).  A pair of verses that are especially encouraging to Christian men are these:

Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.  Let all that you do be done in love. (1 Corinthians 16:13-14)

These words are simple and straightforward.  To be watchful we must understand our duty to protect those with whom God has charged us as leaders, husbands, fathers and brothers.  To stand firm means to refuse compromise, to be willing to fight, to stay standing upon the high ground, and to be resolute.  To act like men calls men upward to the distinct calling God has given to us as men  – to refuse passivity, to accept responsibility, to lead courageously and to always seek God’s greater reward.  To be strong calls us to the spiritual disciplines to get strong and to stay strong .  To do it all with love is plain to understand, but every man needs to be called to love like Jesus.
The Church and the world around us needs Kingdom Men.  May the Lord press these words into our hearts.
in Him, Mike
