Text: Romans 1-3; Proverbs 20:1-15
In the introduction to Romans, Paul writes these words:
I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you— that is, that we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine. (Romans 1:11-12)
This has me thinking. Not too long ago, we went over to some friends’ home for dinner. Lyn thoughtfully prepared a “hostess gift”, a pot of pansies. When I know I will be meeting with other believers, how often do I think ahead of time about what spiritual gift I might bring? Imagine if in our every meeting our intent was that “we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine”? Do you have any meetings on your calendar today? I do. I pray I might be intentional about bringing a gift to each.
