Good morning!

Text: Ephesians 1-3; Proverbs 23:19-35
Ephesians Chapter 3 includes a prayer by the author, Paul, for the people of the Church at Ephesus.  In part, he prays,

” …that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being,  so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love,  may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,  and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”
Ephesians 3:16-19

So often our prayers are dominated by small topics – travel mercies, health issues, job matters and such.  By comparison, this prayer is huge.  It asks for spiritual strengthening in the inner being.  It asks for lives lived with Christ dwelling in hearts.  It asks for hearts rooted deeply in love – where we actually “get it” about how immense Jesus’ love for us is.  And it asks for people to be filled with all the fullness of God Himself.  Imagine what our life together in the Body of Christ would be like if we prayed like this… and He answered “Yes”?  May our prayer life be lifted to such lofty places and such beautiful aspirations.
