Good morning!

Text:  Jeremiah 1-4; Proverbs 16

After a blistering indictment of Israel, Jeremiah’s prophecy turns to the topic of reconciliation between God and the people:

Go, and proclaim these words toward the north, and say,
“‘Return, faithless Israel,
declares the Lord.
I will not look on you in anger,
    for I am merciful,
declares the Lord;
I will not be angry forever. (Jeremiah 3:12)
What an amazing God!  When His people sin horribly, rejecting Him and pursuing false gods and all sorts of debased treachery, if they will just turn back to Him,the Lord God will welcome them back.  No matter what sin we might have in our lives, no matter how far from home we have wandered, the Lord is ready to welcome us back.  Today is the day we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus from the dead.  He died to reconcile us to God.  Perhaps you have been away.  Come home and receive His love.  Today is a terrific day to be restored and refreshed in Him.  Don’t delay.
in Him, Mike
