Good morning!
Text:  Isaiah 47-51: Proverbs 12
In Isaiah 49 God addresses the city of Jerusalem – the place where He established that He would meet with people, and also addresses  the people themselves.  The Lord says;

“Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands…” (Isaiah 49:16)

First of all, these words tell us that what God has established He will sustain – engraving is permanent, and so is God’s relationship with His people and His wonderful promises.  Second, think on this marvelous image of His continuous attention, directed to you and me.  God has us “engraved” on the palms of His hands.  We have the Lord God’s unwavering commitment, His covenant promises that cannot be broken, and His steadfast love that never fails.   Feeling lonely, afraid, abandoned?  If you are in Christ Jesus, you need never feel that way again.  Every time Jesus looks at the nail scars in His hands, He sees you and me.  And as Jesus promised, “behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
